Fall is a time for fun activities like apple picking, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes. If you’re looking for something to do this fall, look no further than Kansas City! There is plenty of fun events and activities planned for the season.
With several of the city’s attractions open during the Fall such as Kansas City’s famous Haunted Houses, it is a popular time in city limits. The Fall is probably one of the favorites for locals whether you’re happily single or looking for fun with the whole family, Kansas City is fun in the Fall Season.
Apple picking
Autumn is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the outdoors in KC. Fall family fun starts at one of the fun activities which is apple picking at local orchards. Weston has some great apple picking opportunities! Also, known for their famous apple cider sold at grocery stores around the area, the Louisburg Cider Mill is only a short drive from Kansas City and provides a refuge for many to visit this area of the metropolitan. Their donuts are delicious!
Pumpkin patches
One of the best ways to take advantage of the season is by visiting one of the area’s pumpkin patches. There are several great options, each with its own unique features. So whether you’re looking for a patch with lots of activities and attractions, or one that has a more rural feel, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for! We personally love Powell Pumpkin in Louisburg for some low-key adventure.
Festivals and events
Every weekend, there seems to be another festival or event going on, and the options are endless when it comes to things like fun fall festivals. So whether you’re looking for a family-friendly activity or something a little more spooky, there’s bound to be something for you this fall.
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival (“KC Ren Fest”) is a staple in the city during this time of year, and offers a variety of food, performances, and crafts booths for the kids. Other fun annual events include the Plaza Art Fair which happens down on the Country Club Plaza.
Chiefs Football games
From attending Chiefs football games to watching them from a local sports bar, there’s something for everyone. Grab your calendar and get ready to have some fun!
Here are some of the best fall football watching in Kansas City has to offer:
– Chiefs Football Games: There’s nothing like cheering on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Make sure to grab your tickets early as they tend to sell out fast!
– Sports Bars: What’s fall without a trip to the local sports bar to watch your favorite football team go back to the Super Bowl?! Brew Top in OP is our fav to grab some football with TV’s lining the walls.
Don’t forget, there’s many ways to enjoy the football games during this time of year. The best is Friday Night Lights and watching some local high school ball. That’s always a lot of fun!
We hope this helped you FALL in love with KC like we always do. Enjoy every minute of it! Get out there and explore!
